nnounce that Saint Mary’s Health Care has received the Joint Commission’s Certification as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. (Read full story here).
Receiving a perfect score, Saint Mary’s demonstrates its dedication and excellence in the Neurosciences. Closing in on the second anniversary of the Hauenstein Center opening this month, our Stroke Center is one of the many disciplines in which we have continued to progress.
The Saint Mary’s Stroke Center was required to demonstrate these standards for the certification process:
• Program management
• Delivering or facilitating clinical care
• Supporting self-management
• Clinical information management
• Performance improvement and measurement
We are very proud of the efforts of all of the Saint Mary’s physicians and associates, including those who work in the Emergency Department and Hauenstein Inpatient Units, where they care for patients who have suffered strokes. This high-quality and thorough care experience did not go unnoticed by the Joint Commission, and this certification is to be celebrated among us all.
