At Saint Mary’s Health Care, we have so many exciting things going on – from new units to awards, to special certifications that demonstrate our high quality care. Opened to patients on March 28, our new Senior Adult Unit was specially designed with the senior adult patient in mind. We are so thrilled by all the positive feedback we have received from the associates who interviewed and were chosen to work on this new unit.
At the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan’s first Mardi Gras Ball, we were given the Patient Provider of the Year Award! The Gift of Life of Michigan also surprised us with an award during the event on March 6. For Saint Mary’s, it honored our dedication and work as a kidney transplant center for the past 40 years.
We have also become the first hospital in Michigan to receive the Inpatient Diabetes Certification from The Joint Commission. We received our certification on January 8, 2011.
