Nutrition Services Receives 2011 Work Based Learning Sites of the Year Award

The Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center has selected the Saint Mary’s Nutrition Services Department as one of four 2011 Work Based Learning Sites of the Year. The Job Corps Center presented representatives from the department with a special award at its December 7 Community Relations Council meeting.

Saint Mary’s provides on-the-site-training for the Job Corps Center’s youth training program for participants while they are getting their GEDs or their high school diplomas as a way to gain real work experience. The hospital has even employed some of the program’s best after their courses were completed.
